Fender Road Worn Stratocaster

Owning a used or vintage Fender Stratocaster is possibly every guitar players dream. The original 1950s or 60s design, shape, color, feel and sound all wrapped up in a package that screams music history at you. The problem is, that not everyone is able to afford one of the original strats, which is why Fender decided to relese the Fender Road Worn Stratocaster.

In the Road Worn range, you can get a 50s Strat, a 60s strat and a 1950s Telecaster model too. Which ever is your preference, but they all look amazing, you can own a near original guitar.

Made to look exactly like the original strat, this excellent three-tone sunburst guitar comes with age and distress built in. Fender have gone right back to basics with this model and included all of the original points that made the strat such as good seller for them. A fuller shouldered neck profile, rosewood fretboard, 3-ply manufacture, Tex Mex single coils with Alnico magnet pickups and a scratch plate that looks like it is right out of the vintage era.

The edges of the paintwork have been deliberately damaged, sanded and scratched to look like you have been playing this guitar since you were a boy. Add to that the look of being used too many times in smokey bars and you have that perfect old look. Does it make the guitar look older? Kind of, but once you pick it up and start to play, the heavy, solid design and original sounding components will have you thinking you have gone back in time.

The Fender Road Worn Stratocaster delivers a rich, warm sound with good detail in the top end and produces a crunching attack when required. This model will not be quite the same as the original, due to the slight change in components and materials, but it does deliver a great noise, but it is the feel and style that makes this guitar worth buying. If you cant afford a real vintage strat, then this may be the only option you have. Hell, you could get all 3 models of fender road worn guitars for the price of a real vintage one!
