Over the span of groups and bands that Metallica and Megadeth star Dave Mustaine has played for, he has used a wide variety of guitars from different manufacturers. The Gibson Flying V, the Jackson Mustaine KV1 and more recently the Dean VMNT from Dean Guitars. His current signature model was used on his most recent tour and is now his guitar of choice.Based on the Jackson King V, another of Mustaine's own custom models, the flying V inspired VMNT was made and a limited number were produced with gold hardware and a special custom hard case too. This model of guitar is available in 9 different flavours, ranging from the double neck to the "Angel Of Death". The guitars are all made to a similar build, with an ebony fingerboard, a maple top and mahogany body. They also feature Dave Mustaine's own designed pickups too.
Some of the models such as the VMNT Korina have only been produced in limited numbers. The natural wood Korina was only produced as a run of 50 units, making it a very rare guitar and hard to find.
